Functional Medicine with Dr. Regalla: A Functional Medicine Approach to Multiple Sclerosis

Duration: 2 Hours
Teacher: Dr. Regalla
Class Description: Conventional medicine is only focused on treating symptoms, not on getting to the root cause of the disease. Dr. Regalla currently specializes in functional medicine, nutritional medicine and nutrigenomics. Functional medicine involves the origins, prevention and treatment of complex chronic disease. Functional medicine physicians look “upstream” to consider the complex web of interactions in the patient’s history, physiology, and lifestyle that addresses the healthcare needs of the 21st century. Dr. Regalla will discuss her approach to medical care which integrates traditional medicine practices with integrative medicine, creating a focus on prevention and treatment through nutrition, diet, and exercise; use of the latest laboratory testing and other diagnostic techniques; and prescribed combinations of drugs and/or botanical medicines, supplements, therapeutic diets, detoxification programs, or stress-management techniques.
